I’m excited to share with you that I have a new Art Boutique Shop that has a selection of my abstract paintings printed on merchandise like tops, scarves, tote bags and even iPhone covers!
These are some great and unique gift items for others or yourself. For instance see this tote bag with my Energy Shift painting on it that I’m modeling. The tote bag has options for getting it with a lining or unlined, this version is lined with some zipper pockets and holds a lot of my stuff. It’s also available in an orange toned painting. New and recent paintings by abstract Artist Janet Gervers will be shown at Hollywood Sculpture Garden & Gallery on Sunday, October 21, from 2-4pm. Artworks are available for purchase.
The Hollywood Sculpture Garden & Gallery is a unique and eclectic art experience at a private home in the Hollywood Hills. It’s like an art wonderland at the home of Artist Dr. Robby Gordon. There is also a group show in the sculpture garden
Since it’s at a private residence you will need to RSVP if you plan on attending. Please do that here for yourself and make sure anyone you invite RSVP’s as well. One day only!

Abstract Waves Painting Series from Janet Gervers
The Wave Series of abstract paintings have kept going and are still in production!
Blue Shimmer is featured at the top here, an acrylic on medium sized canvas, that brings my paintings closer to full fruition. I started with some seriously miniature paintings a few years ago, 3×5 in on the average and gradually brought my paintings up in size.
It’s always fun to work on the smaller ones and I fell like it’s a must to do something with my leftover paint, so that’s how Shimmer, happened (on left).
Iconic Painting on Wood
Working with some more iconic subjects, 2Hearts (on right) is another new medium sized painting on wood. My paintings are typically on canvas and some on smaller gesso boards and this one is the first larger scale painting on wood.
About My Painting Method
In case you’re interested in how it’s done, it’s a combination of larger brushes and a big palette knife, where paint can be loaded up on it. It’s very spontaneous and in the moment.
A Glimpse Into the Artist’s Studio aka Art Currently in Production
It’s rare that I will show art currently in production on my website, and this is an instance where you get a preview of my art before it’s done. This acrylic on canvas is 30 x 40 in so it’s the biggest painting yet in recent history. A finished piece will be posted when it’s complete.

Art Opening
Janet Gervers is an abstract artist, in addition to being a web and branding designer, and her paintings will be featured with three other artists at CulverWorks Grand Opening in the heart of downtown Culver City, CA. Paintings are on the walls at CulverWorks on the 2nd floor.
Opening event is free with RSVP.
